Swedish Christmas at preschool

Today we heard all about what Christmas is like in Sweden. We heard they didn't have any chocolate but that they do have lots of Gingerbread. We would rather have our Turkey than the smelly Mackeral which they like to have.
We would however like to have as much snow as they have .
We all made some nice Gingerbread tree Decorations.

Making our special Eid necklaces

Sumara is the little girl we have talked about this week . We know how she has not been eating during the day and how she has been looking for the full moon so she can wear her new clothes, wear her new necklace and have a lovely feast. Can you see the necklace we have been making. We tried hard to match one side of the necklace with the other side. We are very proud of our lovely necklaces. j

Changing Legs

Last term we made a giant leg. It belonged to George the giant and it reached to the ceiling. Today we painted a chimney and our leg turned into Santas leg just going down a chimney. This is a picture of our hard work.

Glittery Bugs and Feasts

We have been practicing washing our hands today. We put special cream on our hands then try to wash it all off. If we leave any on our hands look all glittery when we put them in the bug. If they don't look glittery we are good hand washers and we can have a sticker.
Today we found a new moon which was hiding in preschool and this meant we could begin our mini feast at snack time. The new moon meant it was Eid. We also made some lovely necklaces which we could wear at a real Eid feast and two of us dressed up as Samara and her brother. Do you think we look good?

Fun with fireworks

Everyone was very quiet at preschool today . We guessed the bangs that went on into the night may well have been the cause. We had fun making rockets out of a triangle and two rectangles all joined together by different methods.
