How well the children played today!

Today at preschool all the children played so well.

There was lots going on at the craft table where the children were creating animals that feel safe at night. These two children are making hedgehogs but some made mice, others made badgers and some asked to make bats.

Outside some of the boys had decided to test the quality of their Mums washing powder. They lugged these tyres around the garden blocking off ,then unblocking the roadway most of the morning until their clothing was completely blackened!

There was much hilarity at the playdo table in the morning and I have to say that I rather like that stylish hat!

The playdo table became a zoo during the afternoon with enclosures built around the animals and play people that visited the zoo.

A trip to school

Today at preschool we visited a local school.It may have been a rainy day but we still had lots of fun.School was so very good to us and had prepared for our visit so very well. We had lots to play with in the hall and when the rain eased we went outside for our group activities.

Outside we played pirates in the pirate ship,we hunted for teddies in the adventure area, we found some lovely Autumn items for a picture on the woodland walk and we played music to a story book on the outside stage .

It was all enjoyed by everyone then for us staff there was the extra treat of seeing last years children all smart in their school uniform and all very happy.How proud this young lady looks.!

Today at Rising Fives we worked on our initial letter sounds again. We found lots of vehicles that went on roads and matched them to the correct letter sound.

We all then went into the hall and rolled tyres of every kind .The prints made some lovely pictures.

The Rising Fives group is gelling together really well and it is a real fun session!

Today at Pre School we made a wonderful mess with green slush. No surprise that the boys loved it.Hunting for wild animals in a slimy swamp resulted in lots of fun for them all.Some of the girls seemed less keen

Dance time

Today at Preschool it absolutely poured with rain.

We went into the hall and did a dance about polar bears,penguins and fish.

In the first picture the fish are swimming very gracefully around the room while in the second picture the fierce Polar bears are surrounding the the penguins .

Today at preschool was lovely and sunny..

We are having a week exploring different textures so today so we were able to have lots of bubbles in our water tray and we had some horrible yellow gloop as well. The two children you can see seemed to take great delight in covering me with gloop!

It was such a lovely morning that we even ate lunch ouside today

Sainsbury vouchers

Today we began to use the new picnic table/play tray which the Mums from last year saved so hard for .

We have never had enough Sainsbury vouchers to get anything so big before so thankyou so much everyone.

Rising Fives /Traffic lights

At Preschool on Friday our Rising Fives session was still all about Road Safety.

The children made traffic lights and cut out their circles so well.

It was the second week of R'Fives so everything was a little calmer and the children even had the time to spread their own toast. There were some interesting mouths after this!.

They are a lovely group and we are looking forward to a year of fun with them

New children 2010

Today at preschool the younger children joined us. Everyone settled well and for a while we had it dry enough to go outside . The new children explored the sand the toys and our slugs !

It seemed to be a creepy crawlie day as we later watched a wood louse crawl around our room. He must have known Autumn was on its way. !
