Yesterday we all painted together. We read the page in our story where Hamish is put in the basket to frighten off the seagulls but instead gets very frightened himself. The children listened to the description of his droopy whiskers etc then with the help of our own Hamish they set to and painted one. Now I am sure you would love to see the finished pictures but we are keeping them well hidden from you until we have our end of term event!
Today there were some very busy people completing the next stage of their lighthouse model. While they were doing this others were outside playing with the harbour which is in the village near Mr Grinling. There were lots of rescues with the helicopters, lots of buildings built and once it was dry this young man scaled the 'A ' Frame

The Forest
Fridays trip to the forest was really such fun. The children enjoyed themselves so much. We had a lovely sunny picnic then the children were given two tasks. One was to collect things in a bag to make their snail garden next week while the other was to discover as many bugs as they could.
Well ! I have never seen a group so encrossed in their tasks and I am sure they would have continued finding bugs for much longer if we had let them.
They found moths ,beetles.worms ,millipedes, snails ---to name just a few.
Later we had a Red Indian Pow Wow and a game of chase then we had a rather delicious ice cream.
We took loads of pictures but here are just five of the best. Come in to preschool to view the rest.
