She told us about how the Police are there to look after us and told us to always say Hello if we see a police man or woman.
She showed us some police hats.hand cuff ,a trungeon and different coats. The Police Lady then took everyone's finger prints The children then asked what must have been a hundred questions---some of these were very relevant ,were as one or two were a little strange such as 'What do you do if an alligator gets you?'

This is the hoop that went on a trip,
over the fence with a great big flip.
This is the hoop that landed between the rails,
it made the railway police turn quite pale.
This is the hoop that made the police race,
they really hurried at quite a pace.
This is the hoop that came back home,
decided no longer more to roam.
This is the hoop now tucked in a sack,
three cheers ----we have it back!
Sorry folks!

Today at preschool the day was just amazing so we decided to all go out for a big long walk down the path which leads to the canal. We had such a lovely time and I am sure each child thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We saw lots of shapes in the enviroment and Nathan was our star spotter of triangles circles and rectangles.
We also saw lots of building work going on and even saw an enormous conrete gobbler right up by the fence.
We saw lots of aeroplanes in the sky and Matthew was our star spotter of these
We scrabbled up and down the banks and we found lots of sticks to help us walk.
We also took our Radio Flyer Trolley just in case anyone got tired Everyone had a ride but they were all having too much fun to feel tired.
We finally got back to preschool with just enough time for a snack and a story.Lovely!

Today at Rising Fives we started the session by making a police note book which we took with us to look at the parked cars in the close outside preschool. As pretend Police people we found we had to record three number plates. One car was parked on the pavement, another car had a nasty scratch on it and the third car looked as if the tyres were not blown up very well.
After that we talked about how many cars went on the road each day and then we went and did some trye prints of cars, bicycles, scooters and buggies. We got very messy but it was good fun.The afternoon finished with a dance this week. The children pretended to be robots to some very mechanical sounding music.
Taday at preschool we had a Post Office out for the children. The staff commentsd that they had never recieved so many letters, parcels ,birthday carde and post cards. They weighed, messured ,posted and delivered and did I really hear talk about a strike?
We also had two us with Mums with us today. One Mu seemed to have lots of fun outside playing with the leaves and giving people rides. I am sure she went home rather tired.
Our other Mum came in to help us celebrate a certain 'ladies birthday. This lovely little girl was so proud to have her Mummy in and to have us sing happy birthday to her. Hope you enjoy the picture Grandma so far away. You can be very proud of your lovely little Grandaughter

. One of these pictures shows 'the lads' displaying our new scooters which arrived this morning from our Sainsbury collection during the summer term.Thankyou Mums!
The ever popular lentils were played with all morning and oour Radio Flyer cart came out with the sun and here the afternoon children are enjoying being pulled and pulling.
While all this was happening outside a little girl spent a long time ironing inside ----spraying the cloth with water, brushing and ironing. The final picture is at our activity table. This week the children were making their own colour code for some apples on a tree with rather a lot of worms in them.
